Final Conference in Magdeburg (DE) of the e-CREATE Project

Cultural Routes Entrepreneurship and Technology Enhancement - 11 – 12 September 2014

 

In Magdeburg, Germany, last 11 and 12th September 2014, took place the Final Conference of the e-CREATE Project: “e-CREATE: Cultural Routes Entrepreneurship and Technologies Enhancement”

e-CREATE was co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and made possible by the INTERREG IVC Programme. Involving 13 partners from 9 EU Member States and Norway, the project will run from January 2012 to December 2014.

e-CREATE aimed at increasing the competitiveness of service-oriented tourism enterprises in rural areas along cultural routes by promoting the use of new technologies. Based on the identification of good practices, the project has elaborated policy recommendations addressing decision-makers on local and regional levels in order to provide a basis for the enhancement of supply-side oriented policies.

Lombardy Region was one of the partners and C.d.I.E. has worked as technical assistance for the Lombardy Region, DG Culture, Identity and Autonomy Archive of Ethnography and Social History.

ICARO – Instruments to remove Confiscated Asset Recovery’s Obstacles”

On 17 July 2014 it started the European project “ICARO – Instruments to remove Confiscated Asset Recovery’s Obstacles” co-funded by the “Prevention of and Fight against Crime” Programme of the European Union.

 

The project ICARO, of which C.d.I.E. is partner, aims to improve the knowledge on the social re-use of assets confiscated from organized crime as well as to elaborate and promote a model of governance able to reach effective results.

Particular attention will be given to the problems of confiscated companies that, due to the long periods passing from confiscation to recovery, suffer heavy negative consequences in terms of production and employment.

 

Project partners: ARCI Milano (applicant), Avviso Pubblico - Enti locali e Regioni per la formazione civile contro le mafie, CGIL Lombardia, C.d.I.E., Università degli Studi di Milano Dipartimento di Scienze sociali e Politiche, Associazione Saveria Antiochia Omicron.

 

The kick off meeting took place at C.d.I.E. headquarters.
