In particular, C.d.I.E. has developed several activities thanks to its profound knowledge of the design/management/monitoring/keeping of records and accounts of complex EU-funded programmes.

The main activities of C.d.I.E. are:

promoting and participating in projects relating to local development and human resources development, with particular focus on Community policies, European citizenship and the social quality of the interventions;

providing liaison services / services for the cooperative system at European level (exchange of good practices, promotions addressed to European institutions and networks, study visits and seminars, promotion of partnerships, agreements, relations);

systematizing actions on a provincial/inter-provincial, regional, national scale in support of:
- human resources development
- local development
- particular aspects of the employment market: equal opportunities, weaker segments of the population

designing and managing services involving technical assistance, monitoring and evaluation of complex programmes for national, regional, local management authorities.

identifying the markets where it is possible to offer activities in the field of consultancy and drafting of agreements and creating concert parties, in particular addressed to new EU accession countries

designing and managing complex territorial and transnational networks with particular attention to the European macro-regions

designing and managing innovative services for supporting individuals, companies, the territory in the form of territorial development agencies, incubators, centres of excellence, resource centres, innovative reconciliation services, services for accompanying people into the labour market and vocational guidance, services supporting social companies, support for modernising companies and inserting them in European markets, supporting women-led enterprises

coordination activities for complex projects funded at local, national, Community level

designing and realising institutional communication tools and campaigns as well as territorial services and marketing

designing and managing training programmes and study visits on the main Community issues, starting from the imminent reform of structural funds 2007 – 2013.

These are the programmes where C.d.I.E. has developed some projects: Equal, Interreg, Fifth Community Action Programme, Tacis, Leonardo, Art 6 FSE, Culture 2000, FSE and FESR 2000- 2006 EU-funded programmes regional and national managing, Law nr 125/91 and Law nr 53/2000.

C.d.I.E. has enhanced activities referred to environmental subjects, energy saving subjects, mobility and sustainable tourism, agrifood sector, consumption policies and life quality subjects and active citizenship.
